ALYX: THAT DOES SOUND GOOD. THE MORNING COMMUTE HAS CAUSED HEADACHES FOR US. THERE HAS BEEN A CRASH OVER AT THE EAST MIXMASTER THAT IS SLOWING THINGS DOWN. IT WAS REPORTED MORE THAN HALF AN HOUR AGO. WE HOPE TO HAVE A CLEARED VERY SOON. LET’S LOOK AT DRIVING CONDITIONS AROUND THE STATE. THAT BLUE IS SHOWING PARTIALLY COVERED, IMPROVED, FROM AN HOUR AGO SO ARE SEEING MORE PARTIALLY COVERED ROADS AND SEASONABLE ROADS ARE IN THE GREEN, NOT AS MUCH PINK, SO THEY WORK IS BEING DONE AND HERE IS A CLOSER LOOK AT THE CRASH OVER AT THE EAST MIXMASTER. IT IS SLOWING DOWN TRAFFIC, INDICATED IN RED ON YOUR SCREEN. JUST TAKE IT SLOW AND PLAN A FEW EXTRA MINUTES. IT IS DEFINITELY SLICK IN SPOTS. APPROACH INTERSECTIONS WITH CAUTIONS. GIVE YOURSELF A LITTLE EXTRA TIME. SLICK ROADS ARE TO BLAME FOR A CRASH ON THE MILE-LONG BRIDGE IN POLK CITY. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT POSTED THIS PICTURE ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE WARNING DRIVERS TO TAKE EXTREME CAUTION OUT THERE, ESPECIALLY WHILE CROSSING THE BRIDGE THAT GOES OVER SAYLORVILLE LAKE. Overnight snow caused some slick road conditions in central Iowa.
